About Me
Dr. Gary J. Sprouse is a Maryland-based MD with more than 30 years of experience treating and diagnosing patients out of his private practice at Queen Anne's Medical Center. Additionally, Gary J. Sprouse, MD, is president of Queen Anne's County Medical Society and previously served as United Way's honorary chairman of Queen Anne's County.
A member of both the American Association for Addiction Psychiatry and the American Society for Addiction Medicine, he has 13 years of experience as a medical director for rehab centers in Maryland. He's also part of the Committee for Addiction Treatment and is working with a local city council to establish a transition house for individuals with opioid and alcohol dependency.
From 2005 to 2013, Dr. Gary J. Sprouse served as an associate professor at the University of Maryland Medical School and, in recent years, began developing self-help medical books, including "How to Have Less Stress." He received a bachelor of science from George Washington University in 1978 and, four years later, completed his doctor of medicine at the university, where he held membership with Mensa International and Alpha Omega Alpha.Education
